I have to admit this time of year makes me want to avoid public places. I am always reminded of the Who's from The Grinch running around buying up as much as possible, going crazy for sales etc. Personally, I like the simple things, like having hot chocolate or cider while decorating a tree or turning off the lights and enjoying the little Christmas lights. Food is always a good thing especially enjoyed with others. But

wouldn't it be nice if life was like the best moments everyday? Where life is full of wonder and imagination. Moments where soft little hands hold your face and kiss your cheek. Moments of time when there isn't fighting or struggle. Destruction or pain. Avarice or cruelty. Ignorance or vanity. It's really a human condition and none of us are exempt from it. Like characters in stories we get to play a part. What part are you going to play in your life as a parent, friend, son, daughter, cousin, aunt or uncle, girl or boyfriend, wife or husband? In the end its what sums you up. So its worth it to love. Its worth it to fight for what's important. Even if it seems like people or the odds are against you. Even if you feel alone or misunderstood. I hope your Christmas holiday and New Year find you living for the moments that matter and finding the strength to get through the rest.
